Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Co-Floor leader Delyan Peevski urged the Health Minister to issue an order and temporarily stop the parallel export of life-saving medications, including insulin, the MRF said in a press release here on Thursday.
He has alerted the Health Minister after information was made public that due to the speculative export of these drugs, the health and lives of thousands of Bulgarian patients, half of whom are children, are at risk.
Peevski recalled that any delay of the ban on parallel export would have unpredictable consequences. The most dangerous lack of action is the one pertaining people's health, Peevski said in a letter sent to the Health Minister. This is a flagrant violation of the Hippocratic Oath for every medical practitioner, as well as the oath that every Bulgarian minister and MP takes, the MRF MP argued.
