site.bta2,251 Applications for International Protection Filed for Minors in 2023
Since the beginning of 2023, the State Agency for Refugees (SAR) has registered 7,694 applications for international protection, UNICEF Bulgaria reported. A total of 2,251 of them are children. A total of 1,293 of those children are unaccompanied. They are mostly from Afghanistan and Syria.
