site.btaBulgarian Foreign Ministry: 24-hour Strike Expected to Affect Sea, Air Transport in Greece on April 9


A nationwide 24-hour strike organized by the General Confederation of Greek Workers has been called in Greece on April 9, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website, adding that the strike action is expected to affect public services in Greece, including maritime and air transport.
All ferries and cargo ships will not run from 00:01 hrs to 24:00 hrs on the same day. Traffic controllers will also join the strike and will not operate commercial flights. Exception will be made for certain special flights, the Ministry said.
The Ministry advises Bulgarian citizens temporarily or permanently residing in Greece to plan their trips carefully, if possible to plan alternative routes and to get in touch with the carrier company to find out if there are any changes to the timetables.
