Bulgarian mountains on Wednesday are offering poor conditions for tourism, the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross reported on Wednesday morning. The weather is foggy and cloudy, with strong winds, temperatures around 0C and snow falling in the higher parts and rain in the lower areas.
Due to snowfall at an altitude of over 1,800 m, the hiking trails are virtually impassable.
Highs: 3C at 1,200 m, 0C at 2,000 m, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.
