Exiting truck traffic is heavy at the border with Romania, checkpoint Kardam, Border Police said on its website on Saturday morning. The crossing in the section of the bridge at Ruse is carried out in one lane due to repair works. The section is temporarily signalled with road signs, traffic is regulated.

At the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Only cars and vans can pass through the border crossing points Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

At the border with Serbia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. At Kalotina, construction and installation works are being carried out in connection with a reconstruction and modernisation contract. The works require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of the traffic flow. During the holidays, travellers with cars should bear in mind that the temporary traffic organisation before and in the area of the border crossing may extend the crossing time.

Traffic is also normal at all border crossing points with North Macedonia.

There is a long queue of cars at the Bulgarian-Turkish border at the Malko Tarnovo checkpoint. A column of about three kilometers of cars and buses has formed in the direction of entering Turkiye. Crossing is extremely slow. Many of the cars have Romanian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian registration plates; there are also tourist buses waiting to cross the border. Most of the people are travelling to Turkiye, where they will celebrate the New Year holidays.
