Bulgaria's Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlaykov met with the Bucharest-based ambassadors also responsible for Bulgaria: of Estonia, Jordan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Norway, Sudan, Thailand, Uruguay, Chile and Nigeria. He is holding the meeting in this format for a second year running, 

Talking to them in the Bulgarian Embassy in Bucharest, he briefed them on the situation in Bulgaria and the country's bid to join the Schengen agreement for border-free travel, and told them that the Euro-Atlantic orientation are an invariable priority for his country.

Ambassador Vlaykov said that it, if a decision is made to admit Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area first for air travel and then for the other types of travel, getting target dates will be a success. "Bulgaria and Romania fulfill all technical criteria. It seems that our efforts have succeeded but let's wait to see the final result," he said.
