Main Theme in Bulgarian Socialists'
EP Election Campaign to
Be Fight Against Inequality

Madrid, February 23 (BTA Special Correspondent Teodora Tsaneva) - A leading theme in the Bulgarian Socialist Party's European Parliament (EP) election campaign will be the fight against inequality, the party's Deputy Chair, Denitsa Zlateva, told Bulgarian journalists in Madrid on Saturday. She was in the Spanish capital as head of the Bulgarian delegation to the Party of European Socialists (PES) Election Congress on February 22 and 23.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) adopted its EP election platform in late January, Zlateva recalled, adding that the main theme is related to the building of a fairer and more social Europe, in conformity with the main focus of PES' manifest for a new European social pact. The fight against inequality, the European Youth Plan, and sustainable development with social elements will be the topics covered in the EP election campaigns of the PES and the BSP, she said.

She also said that her party's MEP candidate list, including the name of the top candidate, will become clear by March 15.
