site.btaNational Board of Tourism Organizes Discussion on Benefits from Bulgaria's Euro Area Acession

The National Board of Tourism (NBT) is organizing a discussion on Bulgarian tourism and Bulgaria's accession to the euro area starting at 10 am on Tuesday at the NV Tower in Sofia, the Board said. The forum is under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh and with the institutional partnership of his Ministry.

The aim is to discuss the effects of the forthcoming change in the operational work of the tourism sector, as well as the potential benefits of Bulgaria's accession to the euro zone and the introduction of the euro as the main currency of payment as a factor for increasing the competitiveness of Bulgarian tourism.

Guests at the event will include a wide range of representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities, the tourism and corporate sectors, academia and the media.

Among those invited to participate are: Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh, Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova, Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev, Economic and Social Council Chairperson Zornitsa Rusinova, Bulgarian Banks Association Board Chairperson Petya Dimitrova.
