President Rumen Radev cables condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the plane crash in Washington, USA. "We mourn the loss of life in the tragic crash of a passenger plane and helicopter in Washington, D.C. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims," the head of State wrote on the social network X on Thursday.
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov too expressed on X his condolences to the families and relatives of the plain crash's victims.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BTA that the Bulgarian Embassy in the USA has not received information about Bulgarian nationals aboard the plane.
On Wednesday night, a passenger plane with 64 people on board crashed into the Potomac River in the Washington DC area after colliding in mid-air with a US Army helicopter. Over ten bodies have been pulled out of the river thus far, Reuters reported.
