The conditions for hiking in the mountains are poor on Thursday, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross reported to BTA. The weather is cloudy and foggy, in the high parts of the mountains there is a strong to stormy wind. The snow cover is between 20 to 90 centimetres.

There have been no incidents with tourists in the last 24 hours.

According to the weather forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), before noon over the mountains the cloudiness will still be significant, but it will break and decrease to mostly sunny weather in the afternoon. There will be a moderate to strong west-northwesterly wind. Highs: 0C at 1,200m, -4C at 2,000m.
