The Council of Ministers condemned the attempt on the life of former US President Donald Trump in a Facebook post on Sunday.  

"We strongly condemn the horrific attack on former US President Donald Trump during his presidential campaign. Political violence is unacceptable and incompatible with democracy," the government wrote on Facebook. 

The Cabinet expressed condolences for the lives taken in the attack and wished a full recovery to Trump and those injured.

Former US president Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for the upcoming presidential election in the US, was shot in the right ear during a rally in Pennsylvania Saturday evening, Reuters reported, quoting a statement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI recently announced that the shooter had been identified.
