site.btaSofia Regional Governor Gets Security Detail after Multiple Threats

Sofia Regional Governor Vyara Todeva has been assigned a security detail after multiple threats received in a matter of days, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov said on Bulgarian National Television Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Todeva confirmed for BTA that is being protected by police but would say if she had received any threats. 

Todeva has recently been in the limelight over the decision of the Sofia authorities to dismantle the Soviet Army Monument.

The Interior Minister said that she has been protected since December 15.
