Addressing the Winning the Peace in Ukraine international conference here on Friday, Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said: "For more than 600 days, we have been winning the peace not only for Ukraine but also for the entire world." He took part in the conference via video conference.
The war has been on for over 600 days and no one knows when it will end, he also said. In his words, if the European and democratic community remain united, Ukraine will certainly win. "This community will win the peace, and we are grateful to our partners and to Ukraine," Zhovkva noted.
"We have the entire assistance that Bulgaria can give to Ukraine and we are extremely grateful. I thank Bulgaria as an EU and NATO country for always standing by Ukraine. Together we can win the peace in UKraine," he went on to say.
Taking a question about the guarantee for peace in the Black Sea Region, Zhovkva said that is Ukraine's full membership in NATO. Ukraine cannot possibly be a full member of NATO before the full victory, he added.
The Winning the Peace in Ukraine conference is organized by Sofia Security Forum with the assistance of the US Embassy in Bulgaria.
