Ambassador Jim O'Brien, Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination at the U.S. Department of State, said on Friday that the sanctions imposed by his country aim to support the judicial reform in Bulgaria. O'Brien pointed out that the sanctions were imposed in solidarity with the EU, which has insisted on reform of the Bulgarian judicial system.
