site.btaRenowned Futsal Referee Pedro Galan Nieto to Lecture at Four-day Seminar in Bulgaria

Pedro Galan Nieto, member of the UEFA Referees' Committee and of the FIFA rules panel IFAB (International Football Association Board), arrives in Bulgaria on Sunday, August 18, to be a keynote speaker at a four-day training seminar for futsal referees, Professor Yordan Ivanov from the Bulgarian Football Union's Futsal Commission told BTA.

The event will be held between August 19 and 23. In the four days in Sofia, Pedro Galan Nieto will give lectures to 30 referees at the Boyana National Football Base. Lectures will be combined with practical sessions and matches from the Champions League Futsal Qualification Tournament, which will take place from August 21 in Arena Sofia.

Pedro Galan was the number 1 referee in mini football and futsal during his active career, as well as the best refereeing instructor in these varieties of the game. He arrives at the official invitation of the BFU Referees Committee, as well as at the initiative of the Futsal, Mini Soccer and Beach Soccer Subcommittee. The Spanish futsal star arrives in Bulgaria for the second time, exactly 10 years after his first visit. 

Among the 30 referees who will participate in the seminar are the international Bulgarian representatives Trayan Enchev, Kaloyan Kirilov, Ivan Ivanov, Ivo Tsenov, and two women - Hristiyana Guteva and Dimitrina Milkova.
