Sofia, July 29 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 424,295, after 15,749 tests identified 216 new infections on Wednesday, according to data posted Thursday on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 1.37 per cent.

The capital Sofia tops the list of new cases with 56 positive tests.

The active cases are 7,702. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 754, including 79 in intensive care.

Two fatalities are reported, and the death toll now adds up to 18,205.

With 12,975 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,001,777 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 984,573 who are fully vaccinated./НВ/
