Rhythmic Individual
All-around

Tokyo, August 7 (BTA) - Boryana Kaleyn achieved one of the best rhythmic gymnastics individual standings for Bulgaria in Olympic Games, finishing fifth in the all-around in Tokyo on Saturday.

Her score was a total of 100.625 after 25.99 in the hoop event, 25.625 in the ball event, an outstanding 26.650 in the clubs and 22.450 in the ribbon competition.

Kaleyn's fifth place is an improvement on Nevyana Vladinova's seventh at the Rio Games in 2016.

She told reporters that she was happy and that her result in Tokyo will motivate her to do better.

She said she had a difficult two months before the Tokyo Games, psychologically, and is happy to have made it so far. "The most difficult period was last year when the lockdowns started. For two months I thought I was going to give up. I did not want to practice, I did not want to do it to myself. Ultimately, I am thankful that my coaches were there for me and that I was able to achieve this in such hard conditions," she said. LN///
