August 30 (BTA) - Ranking MPs of BSP for Bulgaria and tourism industry executives on Monday met to consider business-support measures that can be drawn up and adopted by Parliament within a fortnight.

Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Kornelia Ninova said at the meeting that if her parliamentary group fails in its attempt to form a regular cabinet, they would like at least to ensure budget resources for the economy, the households and the hospitality sector.

The tourism industry executives voiced concern that the revised budget does not envisage financial support for business operations that are suspended or curtailed due to the epidemic precautions and only plans money for the 60/40 employment retention scheme.

The BSP for Bulgaria MPs undertook to review the State of Emergency Act and see whether it needs to be amended. RY/LG
