site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 677 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 5.4%

September 7 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 462,710, after 12,534 tests identified
 677 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
5.4 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 75 positive tests,
followed by Varna with 62 cases and Plovdiv with 49.

The active cases are 34,507. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 4,284, including 339 in intensive care.

Another 526 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 409,054.

Thirty-four fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 19,149.

With 1,654 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,356,197
vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,200,713 people
 are fully vaccinated.
