Main Events to Take Place on Thursday, February 17
- Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is to attend in Brussels a meeting of the members of the European Council, during which the situation between Russia and Ukraine will be discussed. Later on, the Bulgarian Prime Minister will attend the sixth European Union - African Union summit. The forum aims to create an ambitious and future-oriented alliance with Africa, which can create prosperity and stability with the support of a transforming investment package.
- Transport and Communications Minister Nikolay Sabev and his Turkish counterpart Adil Karaismailoglu are scheduled to meet in the southeastern Bulgarian town of Svilengrad.
- Parliament is scheduled to discuss on first reading a bill amending and supplementing the Bulgarian Citizenship Act. On Parliament agenda is also second reading of amendments to the Water Act and first reading of amendments to the Pre-school and School Education Act. MPs are to also review the ratification of an agreement for donating Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The last item on the agenda is a draft resolution, tabled by Vazrazhdane, to repeal the green certificate requirement for access to Parliament's buildings.
