Sofia, August 29 (BTA) - The National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) definitively approved the lists of the candidates of the BSP-dominated coalition for the October 5 parliamentary elections, BSP Spokesman Atanas Merdjanov said on Friday.

With some exceptions, the top-of-the-list candidates of the BSP - Left Bulgaria Coalition were already unveiled on Tuesday. Now,it became clear that BSP Chairman Mihail Mikov will top the list in 25th multi-member constituency in Sofia, Stefan Danailovwill top the list in 24th multi-member constituency in Sofia, and Zhelyo Boichev will lead in 23rd multi-member constituency in Sofia. The list in Gabrovo (North-Central Bulgaria) will be topped by Kiril Dobrev, and in Haskovo (South-Central Bulgaria) by Chavdar Georgiev.

Taking a journalist's question about former Finance Minister Petar Chobanov, who was a BSP candidate in the previous parliamentary elections but now figures on the lists of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Merdjanov said that BSP had serious political differences with Chobanov in the last two months of the 2013-2014 government.
