The Sofia  Regional History Museum presented its latest digital section, Оld Building Stories. The initiative is part of the CLaDA-BG project and includes video materials presenting the stories of famous and emblematic buildings in the centre of the capital and the people who inhabited them, the museum team reported.

Some of the videos include the heirs of the owners of the houses or their architects. Each is dedicated to a different building, and focuses on a personal story and facts that the museum team has discovered in recent years, the team also said.

The clips from the campaign can be viewed on the museum's YouTube channel. The premiere of the next video will be on December 28, and it will tell the story of the Central Sofia Market Hall.

The Sofia  Regional History Museum has been part of the CLaDA-BG project for five years now (National Interdisciplinary Research E-Infrastructure for Bulgarian Language and Cultural Heritage Resources and Technologies integrated within European CLARIN and DARIAH infrastructures).

During the first years of the museum's work in the project, all information cards of cultural monuments from the Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites Archive at the Sofia  Regional History Museum were digitized. They were compiled in the 1980s, jointly with the National Institute of Immovable Cultural Heritage. All books from the museum library related to Sofia have also been digitized, as well as the archaeological documentation from the museum's scientific archive.

A large part of the efforts of the team working on the project also relate to the popularization of the collected materials. In addition to being presented at scientific events, such as various conferences and seminars, they are also presented to the general public through city tours, seminars and talks.
