Two Polish Tourists in
Golden Sands Resort Reported Missing
Through Schengen Information System
Varna, on the Black Sea, September 12 (BTA) - Two Polish
tourists, who disappeared on the night of September 6 to 7 in
the Golden Sands resort, have been reported missing through the
Schengen Information System, said Chief Inspector Traycho
Georgiev, head of the 5th District Police Department in Golden
Sands, on Friday.
The two Polish nationals, a 25-year old man and a 23-year-old
woman, arrived in the sea resort on September 6 with a group of
Polish tourists headed by a representative of a Polish tour
operator. In the evening the two young people visited a local
disco club.
The signal for the missing tourists was filed on September 7.
They were last seen in the disco club. Their luggage was in the
hotel where they were staying. After the alert, the police
checked the beach in the complex but no personal belongings or
traces were found.
The main hypothesis is that the young people went for a swim in
the sea, which was very rough at the time.
