Customs inspectors seized 23 tonnes of shampoos and detergents during an inspection of a truck that was leaving for Romania at the Danube Bridge 2 border control check point on December 19, the National Customs Agency reported on Monday. The packaging of the products was labelled with two popular brands, however, the trademark holders claimed that their intellectual property had been infringed.
The vehicle with Polish licence plates was driven by a Belarusian national. The consignor of the goods was a Bulgarian company, and the consignee was a company in Poland.
The entire cargo of the truck: 44,434 bottles of shampoo, 5,769 bottles of detergent and 3,696 boxes of powder laundry detergent, has been detained.
