Committee for Reconstruction, Assistance Proposes Allocation of Mln 26.5 Lv for
Managing, Overcoming Floods' Consequences

Sofia, September 15 (BTA) - The Interdepartmental Committee for
Reconstruction and Assistance with the Council of Ministers has
approved the allocation of 26,580,640 leva for managing and
overcoming the consequences of the recent floods across the
country, the Government Information Service said Monday.

The Committee held a second extraordinary meeting on Monday
under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Yordan Bakalov.

The financial aid proposed is as follows: 2,593,525 leva for
Bourgas, 4,212,426 leva for Varna, 1,783,586 leva for Dobrich,
1,892,723 leva for Veliko Turnovo, 1,560,538 leva for Vratsa,
860,731 leva for Montana, and 2,363,875 leva for Plovdiv.

A total of 3,139,773 leva of the proposed sum is for restoring
sections of the republican road network, 1,155,900 leva are for
reconstructing school buildings, and 380,000 leva are for
covering rescue and urgent activities carried out by structures
of the Interior Ministry and the Defence Ministry.

The Committee also adopted a proposal for providing 356,000 leva
of recovery aid to natural persons affected by the floods in
the municipalities of Dobrich and Pernik.
