Valentina Georgieva was elected Number 1 Gymnast of Europe for 2024 with 92,767 votes (53.5% of respondents) in an online poll by European Gymnastics.

Filip Yanev's disciple earned the recognition after finishing fifth in the vault final at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, winning a silver medal on the same apparatus at the European Championships in Rimini (Italy) and winning a total of five World Cup medals in gymnastics, all after a year and eight months away from the world podium due to injury.

In addition to a trophy and certificate, Georgieva will also receive a cash prize from European Gymnastics.

The European vault vice-champion overtook in the poll Filipa Martins (Portugal), who received 68,306 votes (39.4%), and third was Italy's Alice D'Amato with 5,072 votes (2.9%).
