Turns Himself into Belgrade Police,
Local Media Report

Belgrade, September 16 (BTA) - Bulgarian banker Tsvetan
Vassilev, who is wanted on an international arrest warrant, has
turned himself into the Belgrade police on Tuesday, the Serbian
"Blic" newspaper reported at noon on Tuesday.

Corpbank suspended all operations on June 21, 2014 after a run
by depositors left it illiquid and on the same day it was placed
by the BNB under special supervision for a maximum of six
months to allow a thorough audit and possible restructuring.
Tsvetan Vassilev, whose Sofia-based Bromak EOOD is the majority
shareholder in Corpbank, with a 50.7 per cent stake, and senior
executives of the bank have been charged with embezzling nearly
206 million leva from the bank between December 2011 and June
2014. Vassilev is on Interpol's Red Notice Wanted List.

Vassilev and his lawyer arrived at the police around 11 am local
time (12 noon Bulgarian time), where currently a mandatory
identity check on Vassilev is being conducted. After this, he
will be taken to court, where a judge will order his detention
in accordance with the Interpol's Red Notice Wanted List, issued
at Bulgaria's request.

The Serbian authorities were notified about Vassilev's arrest
warrant on September 15, the newspaper writes. SN/MY
