South Stream Bulgaria CEO Replaced

Sofia, October 7 (BTA) - Dimiter Gogov was appointed CEO of
South Stream Bulgaria, the company which has been set up to
build the Bulgarian section of the South Stream natural gas
pipeline, Deputy Economy and Energy Minister Anton Pavlov told a
news conference on Tuesday.

Between January 2007 and November 2013, Gogov was Executive
Director of natural gas supplier Bulgargaz. He was removed from
the post after the then Economy and Energy Minister Dragomir
Stoynev announced that the company was in a poor financial
position.

Gogov replaced Vladimir Inkov at the helm of South Stream
Bulgaria. The replacement was expected after Economy and Energy
Minister Vassil Shtonov threatened in August to bring the
company's leaders to justice. Shtonov's decision came after the
company's capital was increased by 191 million leva despite a
ministerial suspension of any actions in the project until it is
approved by the European Commission.
