President Plevneliev: Elections after Elections Are Not a Solution
Sofia, October 7 (BTA) - Elections after elections are not a
solution, President Rosen Plevneliev said answering a question
on Tuesday. Plevneliev and ex-president Peter Stoyanov announced
the launching of an initiative "25 Years Free Bulgaria".
"We cannot say to the Bulgarian people that they have not voted
right and should sit for a 'corrective' exam. It is not the
people but the politicians that should correct themselves and
address responsibly the issues raised by the people," the
President pointed out. The Bulgarian people cast their ballots
on Sunday. Now, it is expected from the politicians to read very
clearly people's messages, find the mechanisms, be bold and
sensible enough, so as to hear the people and meet their
expectations, he added. In his opinion, humbleness, clear
commitment and hard work are necessary.
The Head of State pointed out again that he will treat very
seriously his constitutional commitments and that he will be
continuously available so that the post-election constitutional
procedure be promptly implemented.
