Israel Finances Four Centres for Oncological Diseases in Bulgaria
Sofia, December 16 (BTA) - Four centres for the treatment of
oncological diseases will be unveiled in Bulgaria with the help
of Israeli investments, Israeli Ambassador here Shaul Kamiza-Ras
said before journalists on Tuesday. The Ambassador and Nikolai
Hadjidonchev, General Manager of the Bulgarian representation of
the Israeli pharmaceutical company, Teva, presented the Israeli
investments in Bulgaria. The diplomat said that two of the
centres will be located in Sofia. At present, there is a limited
number of oncological centres in Bulgaria and patients have to
wait long for treatment.
A centre for brain research will be opened in Varna on December
22 and it will be fully supported by the Hadassah Hospital in
Jerusalem, Ambassador Kamiza-Ras said. Besides, a new in-vitro
centre will be inaugurated in Plovdiv in February 2015, he
added.
The Israeli diplomat stressed the good cooperation between
Bulgaria and Israel in healthcare, agriculture, industry,
security and tourism among many others.
