Bourgas, on the Black Sea, December 17 (BTA) - The miners at the
Cherno More Bourgas mine are on strike underground. The night
shift of some 45 miners have remained underground, the Podkrepa
Confederation of Labour said Wednesday. The rest of their
colleagues are outside and support them.

Unpaid salaries are the cause for the spontaneous strike.

The last time the miners received payment was in October, in the
form of 350 leva advance payment. A group which will take them
food and water has been formed. At this point, the miners are
refusing to come out until they receive their money.

In September about a hundred employees of the mine protested,
spending 40 hours underground because of unpaid salaries./SN/BR
