BSP Establishes Itself as Main Left Party and Only Alternative to Present  Governance - Socialist Leader Mikov

Sofia, March 28 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is
establishing itself ever more successfully as the main Left
party and the only alternative to the present governance, said
here on Saturday socialist leader Mihail Mikov during a meeting
of his party's National Council. He stressed BSP's consecutive
opposition and upholding of Left policies.

Mikov reviewed his party's work in the period between the last
National Assembly and the present, noting lawmaking, the
defended positions on current topics, such as the economic
situation, healthcare, the sanctions against Russia, among
others.

On the agenda of BSP's National Council are a draft political
declaration for the upcoming Congress, a draft resolution on
BSP's local authority policy and partial changes to the party's
statute.

Answering a question about the fate of BSP's newspaper "Douma",
Mikov said that the party has the capacity and ability to
publish the newspaper and it will remain in print.
