President Plevneliev Starts Two-day Official Visit to Ukraine
Kiev, July 7 (BTA special correspondent Anelia Tsvetkova) -
President Rosen Plevneliev started his two-day official visit to
Ukraine on Tuesday. The Bulgarian head of State was received at
an official ceremony by his Ukrainian counterpart Petro
Poroshenko.
In addition to his meeting with Poroshenko, Plevneliev's Tuesday
agenda includes meetings with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk
and Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) leader Volodymyr Groysman. The
Bulgarian President will also confer with representatives of the
business and Bulgarian community in Ukraine. A protocol on
cooperation and exchange between the two countries' education
ministries for the period until 2019 is expected to be siigned.
Earlier on Tuesday, Plevneliev laid wreaths in front of the Tomb
of the Unknown Soldier, the memorial to the victims of the
Holodomor man-made famine in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist
Republic in 1932 and 1933, as well as the Memorial Cross to the
Heavenly Hundred Heroes, who died during the events between
November, 2013 and February, 2014.
