Bulgaria Air with Top Seven-star Safety Rating in World Airline Safety Ranking 2016

Sofia, January 7 (BTA) - Bulgaria's national airline, Bulgaria Air, received the top safety rating of seven stars in the annual world airline safety ranking of AirlineRatings.com.

The ranking covers 407 airlines across the globe and determines the top twenty safest airlines and top ten safest low cost airlines.

Of the 407 airlines surveyed, 148 have the top seven-star safety rating but almost 50 have just three stars or less,and 10 airlines are with only one star, the ranking shows.

In 2015, the world's airlines carried a record 3.6 billion passengers on 34 million flights.
