President Plevneliev Meets EU, Switzerland, Norway Ambassadors to Discuss Issues on EU Agenda

Sofia, June 14 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev and the ambassadors of EU countries, Switzerland and Norway had a working meeting Tuesday to discuss the agenda of the EU within the framework of the Dutch Presidency of the Union, the press office of the Head of State said Tuesday.

Plevneliev and the diplomats shared their concern about the increasing Euroscepticism, finding that there is no concrete and comprehensive debate on what causes it.

The sides agreed that the country's stability is a key factor for economic growth and the attraction of investments, but reforms are an integral part of this process.

The ambassadors have expressed support for the reform in the judicial system in Bulgaria and expressed hope that the Judicial Power Act will be passed by Parliament as soon as possible. The diplomats also called for progress in the fight against corruption.
