Bourgas, on the Black Sea, October 24 (BTA) - Fourty migrants, including 16 children, have been detained near the southeastern village of Detelina, said the Interior Ministry's Bourgas Regional Directorate on Monday. They all claim to be from Iraq. Two vehicles were found near the illegal migrants, who were driven by two Sofia residents with criminal backgrounds.

In another case from Sunday, police officers conducted a repeat check on 21 foreign nationals, who were travelling on train from Vidin (on the Danube) to Sofia, the Interior Ministry reported. They have temporary residence permits and on Saturday had tried to cross into Serbia illegally as part of a larger group. The group was detained near the border town of Bregovo and some were returned to Sofia.
