Sofia Commends Agreement among Macedonian Political Parties for Early Elections on December 11

Sofia, September 1 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry commended Thursday the agreement among the leaders of the key political forces in Macedonia to hold early elections on December 11. Sofia expects that they would be organized and conducted as agreed - fairly and freely, which will put an end to the prolonged political crisis in the country, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"This will allow the Republic of Macedonia to return to its path to the EU by implementing the urgent reform priorities agreed with the European Commission, restoring public confidence in the state institutions and fully implementing the Przino agreement of June-July 2015, including the commitment undertaken by the leaders, to strengthen good neighbourly relations," the statement reads.
