President Plevneliev to Make Official Visit to Czech Republic

Sofia, September 2 (BTA) - President Rosen Plevneliev will make an official visit to the Czech Republic on September 5-6 at the invitation of President Milos Zeman, Plevneliev's press secretariat said.

The migrant crisis, the fight against terrorism, and security and defence cooperation will top the agenda of the talks. Plevneliev and Zeman will discuss matters of current relevance on the regional, European and international agenda, as well as the prospects of the countries of the Western Balkans for integration in the EU and NATO.

The talks will also focus on Bulgaria's interaction with the Visegrad Group and on ways to strengthen Bulgarian-Czech trade and economic cooperation.

In Prague, Plevneliev will meet with Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and with Jan Hamacek, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.
