Deadly Accident at  Brikel TPP Investigated

Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria, February 18 (BTA) - The prosecution service has instituted pre-trial proceedings for a deadly accident at the Brikel thermal power plant, in which one worker was killed and four were injured, the regional administration said.

The victim was aged 44.

The workers were cleaning the desulphurization installation when gypsum suspension dropped from the ceiling. One of those injured has a broken arm and the other three were left with bruises.

The Brikel TPP is the oldest power plant in the Maritsa-East mining and energy complex.
