Two of the most successful Bulgarian violinists, Mila Georgieva and Zornitsa Ilarionova, will be playing together on Thursday as soloists in the Vratsa Symphony concert Masters of the Violin, said the Vratsa Symphony.

While Ilarionova has a long-standing partnership with the Vratsa orchestra, Georgieva, who is the concertmaster of the Radio Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra, will be visiting the town for the first time.

"The orchestra is at a very good level, very well conducted, and this is very important for an orchestra - to have clear requirements. It is a great pleasure for me and an honour for us to be here," said Georgieva.

Georgieva plays a 1703 Stradivarius violin.

The program of the concert is versatile. "We go through different styles, there will be romance, such as Navarra, there will be a modern piece such as Frolov's Fantasy. We will play Bach, which is pre-classical, then there will be impressionism", Ilarionova noted, adding that this will be a challenge for them and for the orchestra.

The two violinists said that they are preparing more joint projects together. "Nowadays it's very difficult to find partners with whom you can play as one person and feel very close to them. We feel that way together, and the result is really enjoyable for everyone", they said.

The next concert of Ilarionova will be on April 10, when she will be playing Vivaldi's Four Seasons with the Genesis Orchestra and Yordan Kamdzhalov.

Mila Georgieva has a master class coming up, as well as concerts in Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and other German cities afterwards.
