site.btaInternational Monodrama Festival Opens in Gabrovo

The International Monodrama Festival SoloAct is taking place in Gabrovo from Tuesday until April 7. The program includes 13 performances, of which two will be performed every day at the town's Drama Theater and the Regional Puppet Theater, said the organizers.

On April 2, Krasimir Rankov will open the festival with The Old Man and the Sea and Marius Kurkinski will present his one-man show Nashenets based on works by Bulgarian literary classic Chudomir.

On April 3,  the festival audience will watch a new play by AM Studio, Victoria, and Gun in Tornado with Vesela Babinova.

On April 4, Joana Sirakova will present the story of Billie Holiday and Nencho Ilchev will play in I'm Happy.

On April 5, a Romanian play will open the international program of the festival. 

On April 6 the audience will see the second international title of the festival, the play Goya with Zijah Sokolovic. Hristo Mutafchiev will play in My God. On the same day there will also be a show for children.

Two more performances and the awarding ceremony will be held on April 7. 

The professional jury will be chaired by theater expert Aglika Stefanova. The jury also includes Mihail Mutafov, Plovdiv State Puppet Theater Director Peter Vlaikov, director Ivaylo Nenov and actress Nadezhda Petkova.
