site.btaVidin Awards Students from Water for Peace Competition
Students participating in the Water for Peace competition received their awards at the conference center of the Vidin Regional Administration on World Water Day, March 25. The 350 student works submitted during the competition were presented at an exhibition, which was opened by Regional Governor Ivo Atanasov.
Atanasov made an appeal for the conservation and sustainable use of water, which is of key importance for the existence of humanity. "Let's turn water into a catalyst for a more peaceful world. It is our duty to protect the gifts of nature by using all its benefits appropriately so they will also remain for future generations", Atanasov said while presenting the individual awards in the three categories of the competition.
Deputy Regional Governor Ani Harutyunyan organized the exhibition, which included guests Ilko Iliev, Manager of the Vidin Water and Sewerage Holding, and Veselka Asenova, Head of the Regional Department of Education.
