The 31st edition of the International Children's Easter Festival - Bosilegrad 2024 will take place from May 2 to 7. The team of the GLAS Association - Bosilegrad, who are the main organizers, point out that Bulgarian children from Bessarabia, Ukraine and Moldova, from many cities in Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Serbia are expected to arrive for the event.

Preparations for the festival are well underway and the organizers are confident that this year it will turn Bosilegrad into a "Balkan centre of children's joy". For several years already, two competitions have been organized for the strongest Easter egg - for children from three to five years old and a main competition in which participate children from five to thirteen years old.

The festival programme will start on Thursday (May 2), when the actors from the Municipal Theatre - Kyustendil will perform in the big hall of the Cultural House in Bosilegrad. They will present the new comedy play "Boing - Boing" by Marc Camoletti, directed by Stanislava Rizova. On the following day, a premiere photo exhibition "Bosilegrad Before and Now" will be opened in the foyer of the House of Culture. It includes 40 panels with selected works by three Bulgarian photographers - Assen Velikov, Vihren Georgiev and Vladislav Chanev, taken during the first photo workshop held in the summer of 2023.

GLAS Association - Bosilegrad says that with the help of its long-standing partners, it is "doing everything possible this year to continue to pursue its goal and to send a common message from the small town of Bosilegrad for a world freer and unencumbered by prejudice, a world full of hope for a better future in which we can develop the potential of young and talented children right here in the heart of the Balkans."
