Vice President Iliana Iotova will be paying a working visit to Hungary on October 18 and 19 at the invitation of the Bulgarian community, the Head of State's press secretariat said Tuesday. There she will participate in celebrations on the occasion of the Bulgarian-Hungarian Friendship Day. 

In the town of Halastellek, the Vice President will pay tribute at a monument honouring Bulgarian gardeners, who were mainly emigrants from Bulgaria in the past. Iliana Iotova will meet with representatives of the local community and the Bulgarian self-government in Halásztelek.

On the Day of Bulgarian-Hungarian Friendship, October 19, Yotova will have talks with the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, László Kövér. In the town of Esztergom, where relics of St. John of Rila were briefly kept in the 12th century, she will open a documentary photo exhibition titled "The Heart of Bulgaria. Masterpieces from the Rila Monastery". In Budapest, at the Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. Cyril and Methodius, she will address a gala concert on the occasion of the Bulgarian-Hungarian Friendship Day.

On the occasion of the Bulgarian-Hungarian Friendship Day, a joint exhibition will be opened at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Budapest on October 18.
