Radoslav Yankov won the parallel giant slalom in Carrezza (Italy) and recorded the fourth victory of his career at the FIS Snowboard World Cup in the men's parallel discipline on Thursday.

The Bulgarian defeated the Beijing Olympic vice-champion Tim Mastnak (Slovenia) in the grand final. Yankov took the lead early. In the middle the Slovenian made a mistake, which enabled the Bulgarian snowboarder to emerge victorious.

Yankov started with a win against Dario Caviezel (Switzerland) in the eliminations, then won against Maurizio Bormolini (Italy). In the semifinals, he took on Beijing 2022 Olympic champion Benjamin Karl (Austria).

The win is Yankov's first World Cup since Bansko in 2017.
