Job Vacancies in Bulgaria Down by 4.6% in Q3 of 2024, Y/Y

By the end of the third quarter of 2024, there were 17,625 job vacancies in Bulgaria, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) published on Thursday. This is a 4.6% decrease compared to the end of the third quarter of 2023. The vacancy rate (the ratio between vacant positions and the total of occupied and vacant positions) was 0.8%.

In the second quarter, there were 18,725 vacancies.

The sectors with the most vacancies in the third quarter were manufacturing (2,602), human health and social work (2,420), public administration (2,349), and wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (2,001). The sectors with the fewest vacancies were mining (137) and real estate activities (70).
