The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), Evelina Slavcheva, conferred with Germany’s Ambassador in Sofia, Irene Maria Plank, here on Thursday, the BAS press centre said. 

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of science and the long-standing and successful collaboration with the German research community.

Slavcheva and Plank also explored opportunities to expand the partnership with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and considered organizing joint events aimed at promoting scientific exchange between young Bulgarian and German researchers.
