site.btaBulgaria Achieves EUR 980 Mln Trade Surplus with Non-EU Members in June 2024
In June 2024, imports to Bulgaria from outside the EU amounted to about EUR 1.7 billion, and exports amounted to nearly EUR 1.8 billion, according to data published by the European statistics agency Eurostat on Monday. In June, Bulgaria achieved EUR 980 million trade surplus with non-EU Member States.
In July 2024, compared to June 2024, the EU surplus decreased from EUR 20.9 billion to EUR 19.1 billion. This was due to an increase of deficit for energy (from EUR -26.7 billion to EUR -29.4 billion) and raw materials (from EUR -1.8 billion to EUR -2.4 billion), as well as a decrease in the surplus for machineries and vehicles (from EUR +21.8 billion to EUR +20.7 billion), and a decline in the balance for other manufactured goods (from a surplus of EUR 1.9 billion in June 2024 to a deficit of EUR 0.5 billion in July 2024).
