Plovdiv Airport Monday announced new routes to Manchester, Birmingham and Tel Aviv, as well as charter flights to Antalya and Belfast during the winter months.
The airport will also continue to serve an average of 10 regular flights a week to London. All flights from the UK will provide a convenient connection for Bulgarians who live there and want to return to their homeland more easily, as well as for tourists visiting the region and its winter resorts, noted the airport.
The new services to Tel Aviv and Antalya will provide better connections to destinations in the Middle East and Turkiye, contributing to the development of tourism and the economy in the region.
Flights to Antalya will be operated by Freebird and Bulgaria Air and flights to Tel Aviv by Arkia airline. Flights to Belfast will be operated by jet2.com, while Ryanair will operate flights to Manchester, Birmingham and Stansted Airport in London.
"For the winter charter programme, the entire staff of the airport works in full mobilization, as the programme is significantly busier than in the rest of the year," commented Doychin Angelov, Plovdiv Airport Executive Director.
