The Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) is organizing a roundtable to present an in-depth legal analysis and guidelines for improving the Renewable Energy Sources Act, the organizers said. The event will be held Tuesday at Launchee in Central Universal Market in Sofia at 10 a.m.

Martin Vladimirov, Director of the Energy and Climate Programme at CSD and Remina Alexieva, Analyst at the Energy and Climate Programme will participate in the round table.

Invited to take part in the forum are Energy Minister Rumen Radev, Parliamentary Energy Committee member Temenuzhka Petkova, Energy and Water Regulatory Commission Chairman Ivan Ivanov, Sustainable Energy Development Agency Executive Director Ivaylo Aleksiev, EVN Bulgaria Energy Policy Team Leader Vera Karabashlieva and Municipality of Gabrovo Administrative, Legal and Information Services Directorate Director Todor Popov.

The analysis reveals good European practices for the transposition and implementation of the RES Directive and proposes changes in the energy legal framework to refine and extend the scope of measures to promote the energy transition, the press release added.
